Roofing System: Fibertite 45-mil SM

Cannon Roofing is proud to feature our roofing work for the Peace Center, a popular performing arts venue in downtown Greenville, SC. This complex project involved the re-roofing of multiple buildings and required meticulous planning and execution.

The Peace Center project spanned over 30,275 square feet and included multiple unique roof areas. To handle these complex roofs and challenging radius curves, our team coordinated with the Peace Center to select the proper material; Fibertite 45-mil SM, a durable and flexible membrane. We also incorporated copper metal accents for both aesthetic appeal and longevity.

This project presented several logistical hurdles. A busy downtown location made for difficult access, requiring close coordination with the City of Greenville for permitting and staging. Additional challenges included a full schedule of performances and unpredictable rain delays, requiring close communication with the Peace Center team in order to maintain timelines and expectations.

To lift materials safely and efficiently, we partnered with Campbell Crane. We also collaborated with Carolina Stone and Stucco to re-work certain areas of brick and flashing, ensuring a flawless integration with the new roofing system.

The successful completion of the Peace Center project highlights Cannon Roofing's expertise in large, intricate commercial jobs with demanding logistical requirements. Our ability to tackle these challenges and work effectively with city officials and contracted partners led to a high-quality roofing system, designed to protect this iconic landmark for many more years to come.
