When minor league baseball made its highly anticipated return to Spartanburg, Cannon Roofing was honored to play a role in creating the home for the city’s new team—the Hub City Spartanburgers. As we saw throughout the inaugural season, Fifth Third Stadium is more than just a ballpark; it’s a gathering place for our community. Cannon was proud to ensure the facility was built to last with the highest quality roofing solutions.

Cannon partnered with general contractor Robins & Morton to deliver a roofing system that would meet the scale and durability needs of a professional sports facility. Our team installed a 60 MIL PVC Grey SD Johns Manville Commercial Roofing System, a top-tier single-ply membrane solution known for its resilience, weather resistance, and long-term performance. This large-scale installation not only protects the stadium from the elements but also supports the stadium’s unique functionality for baseball games and other events.

Beyond the main stadium roof, Cannon’s work is visible throughout the venue. The pavilion area features architectural sheet metal finishes designed and fabricated by our in-house metal shop, showcasing our commitment to precision craftsmanship and highlighting the value of having a skilled fabrication team that can bring custom solutions to life. In total the project included about 600,000 sq. ft. of new roof applications.
