Converse University Milliken Fine Arts Building

Cannon Roofing completed a full roof tear-off and replacement for the Milliken Fine Arts Building on the campus of Converse University in Spartanburg, SC. As a recognizable local institution with an active campus environment, Converse required a roofing partner capable of delivering high-quality work while coordinating carefully around school operations, student activity, and the unique logistics of a university setting.

The existing roof had reached the end of its service life and needed to be fully removed and replaced to better protect the academic building beneath it. Cannon Roofing installed an adhered flat Johns Manville TPO roofing system, along with metal replacement and drain replacement to support the long-term performance of the new system.

One of the biggest challenges of the project was working on an active campus. Careful planning, expedited work during the school's break, efficient coordination, and experienced project management were essential to keeping the project on schedule. Crews worked around the realities of a university setting, coordinating access, materials, equipment, and workflow with respect for the surrounding campus and its ongoing activity.
