This position will be based at our office in Spartanburg, SC.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enter, maintain, and/or process information in the payroll system; information may include employees’ hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information.
  • Ensure proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, charitable contributions, etc.
  • Reconcile payroll to the general ledger and monthly bank statements
  • Issue, or reissue, physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors
  • Receive job cost from estimation team and set up jobs in ERP
  • Assist Project Managers with obtaining and filing project documents such as permitting, plans, and other pertinent information as well as facilitating purchase order process as needed
  • Support Controller with other tasks as needed
  • Front desk responsibilities during work hours

 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll and accounting software
  • Curious mind and proactive team player
  • Accounting and/or Payroll experience preferred

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

 

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS INCLUDE:

  • Competitive wage based upon skills and experience
  • Flexible work schedule (Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM)

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
  • Reliable transportation to work
